Have you ever been told that your dreams are too big? That your knowledge, your hustle, your ideas aren’t worthy? Girl, same.

Hi, I’m Sarah. I began Double Standard as a creative experiment on Depop during a time when it felt like all the world wanted was to hold me back. Constantly having to prove my worth against impossible standards at work, in dating, in society, had me feeling like more of a sad bitch than a bad bitch. 

I dreamt of a world where all things girly, sparkly, pink and shiny were a symbol of power - of a world where I could control my own destiny. Helping you girls find the cute, unique styles you were looking for and chatting with you all gave me the fire I needed to chase that destiny and give creating this brand a real shot. 

That meaning behind Double Standard has helped me overcome obstacles I never thought I could before – and that’s exactly what I want to share with you. 

Double Standard is the magical force that gives us the power to flip the script. It’s here to remind you that when we follow our instincts and lean into our feminine strengths, nothing can stop us.

SUSTAINABILITY 🌸

We care about the earth just like we care about you. Because 30% of fashion produced goes to waste each year, we believe minimizing waste is the most impactful way to be sustainable. That's why we produce our designs in small quantities of 100 or less, predicted based on your sign-ups.

We are a 100% female-owned business run out of Sarah’s apartment in Brooklyn, New York and a diverse, amazing team of 6 nationalities working from the U.S, Europe, and Asia. We hope to open a studio and pop-up location in New York so we can connect and collaborate with our community even more in the near future <3
