FAQs

Are you a sustainable brand?

We drop in small, limited quantities to avoid waste. Read more here.

What even is this brand?

If you're new here, welcome bestie! We're a 2 year old startup based in Brooklyn, NY. We're a small team and so happy you're here to join us on our journey to girl domination. Read more here.

Where do you ship from?

We actually have a few warehouses - two are in the US, while one is near our factories in Asia. This helps us get our products launched and in your hands more quickly, and uses fewer resources.

Are you a dropshipper?

No! All of our products are developed in-house and produced specifically for our brand, with months of research, sampling, and quality checking along the way.

Who designs your shoes?

While I (Sarah) am in charge of all things creative, I like to think you are part of the design team, too. We get your input on design concepts regularly throughout the development process on social, newsletter, and here on our site. Like shopping with your bestie, but different.

Are your shoes true to size?

We try to be, but some styles run small. You'll see a size note with a 🌸 above the sizes on the product page if they do.

What if I'm between sizes?

I typically suggest rounding up to the nearest size. However, you can also measure your foot according to the diagram in our size charts and compare it to the size chart to get real specific.

After getting your size from our size chart, check to see if there's a special note on the product page to see if you should size up or down. And if you're still in doubt, email us at hotline@doublestandard.nyc or send me a DM!

And finally, we offer easy returns with a pre-paid label if you need to switch sizes!

What if I've got wide calves or wide feet?

WIDE FEET: I've had my wide-footed friends try the Ballet Sneakers and have been told they still fit quite nicely, as they have a roomy toe box. Surprisingly, the same is the case for the Paris Boots, despite their pointy toe. They aren't the kind of pointy toed shoes that eat your poor toes up! The Nicki Business Slippers do have a narrower toe box, which may not be as comfortable for wide feet.

WIDE CALVES: The Paris Boots' laces loosen to fit most any calf, and don't fit overly snug to begin with. However, the Kill Bill Thong Boots don't fit all calves, so check the circumference on the product page.

For any more specific notes, check our product pages! And know that all items can be returned with a pre-paid return label within 14 days.
