A MINIMAL WASTE MODEL

We care about the earth just like we care about you. An alarming 30% of fashion produced goes to waste each year. Regardless of whether that fashion is made from synthetic or organic materials, that's all wasted resources from materials, incineration, energy use, water use, and more. 

At Double Standard, we strongly believe that reducing this waste is the most impactful way to make a difference. That's why we produce our designs in small quantities of 100 or less, based on what you ask for most.

OUR FACTORIES

While we design and develop our products from our NYC office, shoe production is not available in the United States, as much as we'd love to produce locally! 

Over the last 2 years, we've worked with over 10 factories in Central America and Asia.

Through our work and experiences, we've narrowed down our factories to a select few who have delivered the best quality and service. Our main factory has been family-owned and operated for three generations. We have met the factory owners, toured the factories, and met with the workers in person.

Plus, we treat our V.I.Gs (Very Important Girlies who sign up for our newsletter or Close Friends on IG) like co-creators, asking for your opinions and votes on new designs to make sure we trully make products you love - rather than push trends on you.
